Really great, located just out of the town center however bike hire is available. Staff friendly and flexible when I asked to move to a more shelter camp site. Amenities really good private, clean and great value for money. Beach a 10minute walk away to catch a sunset. Highly recommend.
The location and the walk to the beach is absolutely beautiful. The campground itself is big and offers everything you need from unisex family bathrooms to laundry facilities and camp kitchens.Unfortunately the camp toilets/showers are pretty gross, even during low season. We told the staff about it but instead of doing something about it they told us which toilets to avoid especially - go figure.
Edit: after our initial good experience we decided to go again around Australia Day. The facilities were an absolute abomination for the entire week. The toilets and showers were constantly filthy- blood on the ground, sh* on the toilet rim and seat, garbage and cockroaches everywhere, the same sticky substance on all the door handles. This park needs to give some serious attention to the toilets.. it really is as simple as leaving a mop and squeegee and a sign encouraging people to clean up after themselves. That or they should hire staff that clean at least 4x a day in the high season instead of only paying attention to their villas. We basically paid out the nose to feel grimy. 5 star Original: Close to a great beach and nature walks this place has it all. Well equipped kitchens, laundry, a pool and hot showers (although you dont need them). They have a big kids playground and also some beautiful chickens on site. My only complaint is that this place is SUPER busy, although we were there around Christmas. Also the laundry is very pricey at 5 bucks a pop. People stick to the noise rules so it was overall a very pleasant and relaxing experience. I hope to stay again.
Great location for camping, pet friendly and decent facilities. On site cafe was really good - great coffee and food was reasonably priced and tasty! Lots of room to walk our dog and an amazing dog friendly beach a 10 minute walk away. My only recommendation would be for the park to not automatically assign tents right next to each other if the row isn't full. We had a couple who camped next to us who were loud well into the night and it would have made a world of difference if they were just even one site away -- we were the only tent in the row.
I'd give 4 stars for the facilities and overall service, but only 1 star for the actual tent site we were given. They placed us right beside a really loud and busy road :(. It's impossible to relax when you're 2 meters away from a main road. Our suggestion would be to plant more trees to build a better sound barrier, plus it would help with some much needed shade.Overall a 2 star rating because when you pay what we paid for the site - it really didn't feel like value for money, even with the great service you receive.
