Nice little cafe situated close to the beach with a view of the surrounding parklands. The outdoor verandas is nice and the food quality is very good. Coffee and drinks menu is also fairly extensive and high quality.
Great location! If only there was good service. Staff were quite rude and when they stuffed up our order they requested we go back to the counter and pay again....It started pouring and the rain was coming in everywhere. We asked 3 different staff, if when they were free they could close the plastic blinds so we were no longer getting wet and they said they would and no one ever came back to help, even when they saw us trying to do it ourselves they didnt help.So much potential, our drinks were very tasty.
The surrounds are pleasant and the food was fine. We had the pumpkin salad and the superfood salad. Both with added chicken. Would really have liked more dressing on both and particularly on the superfood one. You definitely need to like kale! The salads are large with lots of ingredients which you would expect for the price. Decent coffee also.
Weve been to this place many times over the years. Great location. Great food. But....We recently arrived just on closing at 3pm. The kitchen was closed. While not needing a full meal, we couldnt get even a milkshake or coffee or cake. Why does the restaurant / coffee industry in Australia, especially in tourist locations, think that tourists stop needing refreshments after 3pm? In Europe this is never an issue where ever weve been. As the owner said to me, its his business. Yes, and were his potential customers. We went into town and found a few places who understood basic economics.
Terrific small cafe in a lovely spot. Fairly rustic but nice food and lovely service. Recommended.
