The facilities in this hostel is alright, but the stuff is absolutely rude. Couldnt check-in after the check-in time, the girl at the reception showed no apologies at all, just gave me this non f$*#k gives look and said the room is not ready, I waited for an hour keep checking on the self-service check-in system until the room is ready. Never have complained about anywhere Ive stayed before, just shocked by how unprofessional the stuff is at this place.
Great location in a quiet alley. Staff is okay. Kitchen is small and messy. First Floor bedroom have carpet that smell like pee . Bathrooms dont have sufficient light and dont have windows, therefore mildew environment . Beds are comfy. Bring your own lock locker in rooms Bathrooms are shared in the hallway for dorms
I planned a trip to the gold coast stopping in Byron bay over 2 weekends. I booked 4 nights initially and ended up staying for 7 or 8. This hostel has a great atmosphere, they have an open court yard with 2 spas, hammocks and live music every couple of nights. The staff are friendly and approachable, with daily activities and heaps of stuff to do right out your door I would highly recommend choosing Nomads for your next stay in Byron Bay.
Staff is pretty nice for the most part. This is very much a party hostel, most nights are quite loud with lots of activities going on, not a very clean hostel. Kitchen is big, but trying to find a space to keep your food is tough and if there are others cooking as well you will struggle to find utensils
